The Diva Steam, also known as the
V-Steam and Yoni Steam, is a remedy that is becoming known today as the
forgotten ancient wisdom for women's health/healing and is being fervently
revived by women today.
An
ancient remedy that had been used for over a millennia before us, the Diva
Steam has been known to maintain the health of the uterus, treating
everything from painful menses, endometriosis, low libido, UTI's, to infertility.
Though this simple process may sound like a miracle remedy, the Diva
Steam is an easy and inexpensive treatment for any woman to use on
a regular basis within the comfort of HC Wellness Center or at home.
How
does the Diva Steam work?
A
Diva Steam is done much like a facial, except that
in this case, steam rises opening the pores of the skin and the beneficial
compounds in the herbs are absorbed through the open pores of the pelvic floor.
These tissues are exceptionally porous and absorbent, and the warmth of the
steam helps to soften and open them. The herbs medicinal properties, including
their oils, are released (due to the special steeping process) and carried to
the surface of your skin, and inside , where they are absorbed into the bloodstream
and into to the uterus. The herbal steam increases circulation, thins mucus,
and cleanses the entire reproductive system, allowing it to shed unnecessary
membranes and build-up. The results are varied, and amazing.
Throughout
history, many women have found Steams to have the following effects:
*
Significantly reduce pain, bloating and exhaustion associated with
menstruation.
*
Decrease menstrual flow.
*
Regulate irregular or absent menstrual cycles.
*
Increase fertility.
*
Speed healing and tone the reproductive system after birth.
*
Treat uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, uterine weakness, uterine prolapse and
endometriosis.
*
Assist with the repair of a vaginal tear, episiotomy or C-section scar.
*
Assist with the healing of hemorrhoids.
*
Treat chronic infections (UTI's, Vaginal, Yeast, etc) and works to maintain
healthy pH balance.
*
Relieve symptoms of menopause.
*
Detoxify the womb and remove toxins from the body.
We recommend that you DO NOT steam if any of the following
apply to you:
* You are
pregnant.
* You have
an IUD or a coil (you will be asked to sign a waiver if you wish to steam).
* During
Menstruation.
* Piercings
will need to be removed to avoid burns.
* Steaming
should not be done if you have any open cuts/wounds/stitches or active herpes
breakout.
* Steaming should not be done when the body is fighting an illness such as the flu or any other fevered condition.
* Steaming should not be done when the body is fighting an illness such as the flu or any other fevered condition.
*
It is not recommended to steam after waxing or
laser hair removal. We recommend waiting 4 days after waxing and 2 weeks after
laser hair removal.

Pie in a Jar
Single Serving Pie in a Jar
This is the type of jar you’ll need. half-pint jars
Step 1: Pie Dough
Step 2: Make a topper and line the jar
Step 3: Fill ‘er up
Here’s the basic recipe (for 4 pies)
2 C prepared fruit (pitted, diced, peeled, etc.)
2 T sugar- brown or white (use more or less depending on sweetness of fruit)
2 T flour- (again, more if your fruit is super juicy like cherries, less if it’s pretty dry)
1 T butter (divided between the pies)
Seasonings/flavorings- cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and almond extract, citrus zest etc)
Play around with it and come up with something yummy! When your filling is all combined, divide it between the jars and dot a pat of butter on top (about 1/4 T)
Step 4: Top it off
Step 5: Freeze ’em!
Step 6: Bake ’em
Remove lids from jars and place jars on a baking sheet. Place baking sheet in a COLD oven. Then turn the oven to 375. That will give the jars a chance to warm up slowly as the oven preheats. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the middles are bubbly. If you’re baking them fresh and not frozen they take about 45 minutes.

DIY Sunscreen Bar
************************************************************
DIY Sunscreen Bar
Sunscreen Bar Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 cup shea butter, cocoa butter or mango butter (or a mix of all three equal to 1 cup)
- 1 cup beeswax (can add an extra ounce or two if you want a thicker consistency, which leaves less lotion on the skin when used)
- 2 tablespoons (or more) of non-nano Zinc Oxide
- Optional: Vitamin E oil to preserve. I added 1 tsp vitamin E oil for this recipe made with 1 cup of each ingredient)
- Optional: a few drops of vanilla or essential oil for scent (do not use citrus oils!)
- You'll Need: A double boiler or glass bowl over a small pan. Silicone molds or empty deodorant containers for an easy-to-apply solution
Sunscreen Bar Instructions:
1.
Combine all ingredients (except zinc oxide and essential oils if using)
in a double boiler, or a glass bowl over a smaller saucepan with 1 inch of
water in it.
2.
Turn the burner on and bring water to a boil. Stir ingredients
constantly until they are melted and smooth:
3.
Remove from heat and add the zinc oxide powder and essential oils.
4.
Gently stir by hand until essential oils are incorporated.
5.
Carefully pour into molds or whatever you will be allowing the lotion
bars to harden in. I used these silicon baking cups, though any mold would
work. This recipe exactly filled 12 silicon baking cups when I made it.
6.
Allow the lotion bars to cool completely before attempting to pop out of
molds. These could be made in different shaped molds for different holiday
gifts (hearts for valentines, flowers for Mother's day, etc.) or made in a
square baking pan and then cut into actual bars.
7.
They can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge or freezer for
longer term storage. Keep below 80 degrees or they will melt! Adjust coverage
to your needs and be careful not to burn while determining how long you can
spend in the sun with these.
